Sarah McGregor, 2025 New Zealand Professional Photographer of the Year, is also the 2025 Professional Newborn Photographer and Professional Portrait Creative Photographer of the Year. She founded Minime Photography in 2011, specialising in newborn, family, and corporate headshot photography. Based in Richmond, Sarah serves clients across the Nelson region.

Hi, I'm Cindy and I'm the one behind the camera at Captured Moments Photography. I am a mum of 2 boys and about 8 years ago I decided to combine my love of photography with my experience of working with kids. As a former Child Psychologist I am able to build rapport with kids quickly to help them feel at ease in front of the camera, and have a range of techniques to help your child's personality shine in their images. When I was pregnant with my first child I studied the craft and safety of photographing newborns and loved it so much I decided to specialise in this area of photography. Since then I have continued to learn and refine my photography and baby whispering skills in order to be able to capture timeless and connected images that I know you will love.

My name is Francesca (she/her). I’m an adventurous Brit who accidentally fell in love with a Kiwi on my travels and found myself happily ‘stuck’ in Nelson after years of exploring the world. It’s hard to think of a more beautiful place to settle down!

When I’ve not got a camera in my hand then you’ll find me in a theatre directing or performing. If there isn’t a show on then I take my need to perform out on my kids, who have excellent taste and always clap my one-woman performances of Les Miserables. My long-suffering husband Mikey has an intense dislike of his photo being taken and of musical theatre. It says a lot about how strong our bond is that we have a very happy marriage.

I’ve been photographing and filming people since leaving high school, with my passion deepening while working as a documentary director for the BBC in London.

 

Capturing candid moments and genuine emotion inspired my love for portraiture. I specialise in creating natural, heartfelt images that reflect the unique personalities and stories of my clients.

Why am I a documentary wedding photographer? I have very fond memories of my dad and growing up in the house my parents built in the Tasmanian bush. My dad passed away when I was a child and he was obviously not at our wedding. I want to give the gift of preserving every moment of your wedding, and those that were present, to you.
